Programs Serving Children and Families
Sacramento, CA – First 5 Sacramento has launched an innovative new process that places funding decisions directly in the hands of the community. After two years of planning, the organization established the Equity in Action Funding Committee, made up of Sacramento residents, to ensure decisions are culturally responsive, well-informed, and reflective of the community's strengths and needs.
Grassroots, nonprofit, faith-based, and small business organizations serving Sacramento County families with children ages 0–5 are encouraged to apply.
Funding opportunities range from $5,000 one-time grants to multi-year grants up to $500,000.
All funding decisions will be made by Sacramento community members.
Apply by October 9, 2025
