What We Do

First 5 Sacramento offers training, consultation, resources, and mentoring to child care providers to support their growth and increase the quality of child care in Sacramento.

Why We Do It

Research shows that high-quality early learning experiences help children thrive; child care and preschool create the foundation for future success in school and life. Children who have had high-quality care have better language and social skills, are better problem-solvers, and are more successful academically in their school years.
