First 5 Sacramento is honored to partner with five local agencies to provide family support services to refugee families with children prenatal to five years old, who arrived in the U.S. after August 1, 2021. Through this grant from First 5 California, these agencies will provide:
- General navigation services, including but not limited to: Assistance completing applications, paperwork, making appointments, referrals to other resources, and transportation assistance, among other activities that connect families to the services they need.
- Language support in Arabic, Pashto, Farsi, Dari, and Russian
- Basic needs
- Housing vouchers (limited for emergency situations)
- Culturally and linguistically responsive workshops on various topics
- Mental health assessments
- Mental health support
