Advisory Committee Recruitment


Would you like to serve on a board that has an impact o​n the lives of children from birth to five years of age and their families?  

Meaningful community​ voice is essential to our success!

We are looking for Sacramento area residents with expertise or experience in the following areas:​

  • Adult & Aging Commission
  • Alcohol & Drug Advisory Board
  • Disability Advisory Commission
  • Grandparents
  • Human Services Coordinating Council​
  • Mental Health Advisory Board​
  • Parents

Advisory Committee Members:

  • Work in partnership with First 5 staff and commissioners to advance the Commission's vision and goals
  • Identify and create ways to engage families from diverse communities
  • Share their voice and experience with to inform broader perspectives on policies and practices 

An hourly stipend is available t​o all Advisory Committee members for meeting attendance and other work done on behalf of First 5

Meetings are typically the second​​ ​​Friday of even months from 2:00–3:30 at 2750 Gateway Oaks Dr., Suite 330, Sacramento, CA 95833.
